I am retired, and during my 28 year career at Blue Cross I had a wide variety of writing positions. As a trainer, I wrote manuals with clear objectives for students as well as scripted material for trainers, along with job aids, role plays and examinations.

I wrote a computer-based curriculum for hospital billers that included medical terminology and coding. This was also used by internal staff for training purposes. I wrote a screenplay for a video that was shown throughout California to market this.

The marketing collateral to sell hospitals our direct data entry system was successful.

I spent the last ten years in the Medicare Division, writing monthly newsletters that averaged 80 pages. I also wrote a style guide for the department,

As a freelance writer, I wrote and sold articles about bird care for Bird Talk and Bird Breeder national magazines.

Work Terms

I am retired, and looking for part time work from home assignments. I expect to do all the necessary research. I want to work from ten to fifteen hours a week. My minimum rate is $15.00 per hour. I prefer using either telephone calls or email to communicate with my clients.
