As a former professional investor and loan officer with an MBA from a leading business school, I can help you write a business plan and create a financial model that get results.

My background includes 20 years in marketing and finance, including writing and reviewing business plans, market research, creating marketing collateral, including sales pitches. I also have an MBA in from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business, which is one of the top schools in the country. I also have a BA in Economics from the University of Colorado.

I have the unique experience of having evaluated business plans for over 9 years as both a loan officer helping emerging growth companies, and later as an equity analyst at both an investment bank and a money management fund.

As part of these jobs, I reviewed hundreds of loan and/or investment opportunities per year, evaluating the viability of their industry, market size and growth, competition, product positioning, market strategy, financial projections and business model. When I found good investment opportunities, I needed to create my own financial projections and write up a report which contained the basic elements of a business plan, and either present it to the loan committee (when I was at a bank) or write an even more detailed report and present it to institutional investors, or a portfolio manager.

I also spent 6 years working as a business plan writer and marketer at Hewlett Packard. My first job was to create business plans for new technologies that had been developed by HP Labs.

As a product marketing manager and solutions manager, I performed in-depth market research and competitive research, and created and executed on marketing strategies. Part of the job was to write marketing collateral both for brochures and the website.

Once the business plan is complete, I can also help you to identify potential angel investors and to help you with the marketing plan.
