Before I tell you anything else, I am going to tell you about my journals. I want to give you a sense of who I am. I will not be stunted by the thought of this as 'unprofessional' and 'risque' because I've never shied away from unconventionality.
The obsessive diaries started at thirteen. Sometimes I wrote life, sometimes I wrote poems and sometimes I'd copy out beautifully crafted quotations that I still crave to rival. I etched out my existence in a treasured fountain pen and remember the first time I ran out of ink and had to use a Biro. The lack of consistency felt like a ship crashing into an iceberg in my stomach.
If you've ever kept a journal, you know the terror of loosing it. I recurrently dream that my journal is lost or stolen by an arch-nemesis who photocopies my secrets into posters. I've kept all my journals and am still undecided as to their fate upon my death. They are the things I'd try to rescue from burning in a fire; they record the growth of a teenager into a motivated young woman. They are also terribly embarrassing.
I completed my BA in 'English Literature' at The University of Manchester and my MA in 'English Literature: 1850 - Present' at King's College London. At KCL, I obtained an award for a 6,000 word story. Whilst studying, I also undertook fiction and poetry courses at The Faber Academy. I am a published poet and fiction writer and know how to craft, spin and twist the written word into the shape required to entice the target audience.
I have experience in copywriting and maintaining a pitch perfect tone. I am more than capable 'becoming' the brand or the brief; my versatility comes in the changing shades of a chameleon.
Everything in the world is now a brand and I am a curious, creative individual who knows that the psychological affect of the reader is everything. I can meet the expectations of a brief with both a traditional and innovative approach.
I'm not happy unless I'm challenged. Please do challenge me.
