I'm an artist who specializes in Illustration & Design along with experience in other art forms.
I was inspired to start learning how to draw because of my father’s little doodles he would make for me when I was a child. They sparked my curiosity and desire to learn drawing techniques. As I continued to experiment with drawing, cartooning captured my interest. My parents encouraged my efforts to develop my skills and found various opportunities through local arts organizations to learn to work in more media and genres. While my art program in college enabled me to transition in the direction of fine art, the early influence of cartoon-style art continues to shape much of my work, which often involves whimsical or fanciful characters or animal figures. Characters and images that have some level of mythical inspiration also sometimes find their way into my work, which is also in keeping with some of the influences of cartoon-style art. Vibrant and saturated colors are also a clear passion. At times I have experimented with work that has a somewhat primitive feel, especially in ceramics or other 3D media, but usually with whimsical elements that remain a common thread with my other work. The feeling of creating something special for myself or for others is my greatest source of pleasure. My passion is to create all types of artwork that makes people smile or brightens their day.
