I'm Rachel, a native English speaker from New Zealand and an efficient, experienced transcriptionist. I proofread my work meticulously and have never missed a deadline. I have experience transcribing a wide range of files, including podcasts, one to one interviews, multi-speaker focus groups, and sermons.

In addition to my transcription experience, I am a qualified ESL teacher and have experience proofreading a wide range of texts. I pride myself on my ability to elevate a text by ensuring grammar, punctuation, formatting, and spelling are accurate and consistent.

Work Terms

I am available for work 7 days a week, and am most responsive between 7am and 5pm (GMT+5:45). I can generally complete an hour of audio within 24 hours of receiving the file, and can return your transcript as an .rtf or .doc document.

I charge $12 per working hour, which translates to roughly $36 per audio hour.

Unless instructed otherwise, I transcribe using clean verbatim, using an attractive, easy to read format, including time stamps throughout.

When proofreading, I use the track changes feature in Microsoft Word, and can use the spelling and conventions of US or UK English, depending on your needs.
