About

A good work is more than well written code; it means a relationship between parts who trust and support each other with one specific goal. Let's do something nice together!

I lived most of my life in São Paulo, Brazil. Since childhood i used do draw a lot, build things, and that led me to the Graphic Design graduation, at FAAP. But before that, i attended to a technical High School and learned the basics of programming, databases, logic, and web. I fell in love with it all. So in parallel of graduation, i learned more and more about technology and became a developer. The humanity of design and the sharpness of technology gave me the balance I needed.

Few years after graduating, i specialized in Design and Digital Techonology, at the same institution, FAAP. I started working there as web designer, and two years later I was working at the biggest retailer in Brasil, Grupo Pão de Açúcar (GPA), now owned by the french brand Casino. There was an exciting project called GPA Digital, where i put all my skills to work with a fantastic team. It was so good, we joined together and started a business for ourselves as partners. We founded Vorttex, a small software factory that growed very fast.

This worked out well for 2 years, but owning a company seemed to me not like something I really enjoy. So I sold my share, and started a new business, also a software house, but more focused in testing tools. I didn't find any joy there either, so i figured the problem was a little deeper than I thought.

So i also sold my share and this time I didn't open a new business, but decided to work from home as a freelancer. Beside that, my wife and I decided to leave town to a calm town 2 hours far from the capital, where I live now.

I can say I'm very happy and the reason is simple: As a "businessman" I was a lot away from getting the hands dirty with code, pen, pencil. In the end I realised I'm more a maker than an overseer.

What didn't change is my passion for RPG, card-games, fighting-games, and beer.

This is my history (brief), and now I'm 37 years old living a happy life at the country, where I can have fresh air and internet at the same time!
