Experienced senior mechanical engineer with 18 years of extensive product development and manufacturing experience.

Thomas Meiser is a specialist in product development with more than 20+ years of experience in all phases of design and manufacturing. Tom has been involved with the successful launch of numerous products and has demonstrated these results through a variety of practices. He has successfully integrated his talents into a wide range of organizations from initial start-up to multi-billion dollar companies. He is presently the owner and principal of Ziel Design, a product development firm he founded in 1999. Ziel Design specializes in providing clients with a full range of design services and leverages its extensive experience and skill-sets in manufacturing to effectively bring products to market.

Tom is enthusiastic about developing solutions to challenges through innovation. Whether it is creating or enhancing a product for the marketplace or compiling a team of individuals for a venture, he believes a positive result can always be found given the right balance of persistence, patience and sacrifice. Tom believes those who embrace and welcome the current challenges facing the design and manufacturing industry will benefit by becoming the leaders in providing new products and services. From his ongoing experience with companies in many business segments, he believes the competitive advantage lies with an organization’s ability to operate efficiently by focusing on its core competencies and maintaining the accountability of all individuals involved.

Tom’s manufacturing experience began at the age of 10 when he began working in a family-owned and operated custom injection molding facility. During these first years, he worked in all facets of the business learning injection mold fabrication and design as well as participating in part production and procurement. Upon graduating from the University of Utah in 1995 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, he worked for Sarcos Research Inc. and assisted in the development of products in the medical and entertainment
