Timothy is a French American artist who is currently living and creating in Jersey City. Born in New York, He moved to France at the age of two and came back to the US by the time he was 18. Having moved from city to city in France and Switzerland and then in the US, he was able to absorb both European and American culture. Question of identity and one's place in the world is a strong source of inspiration in his work. As the artist says himself: "My art is an investigation into the Self, which to me is not an isolated thing, but a thing deeply rooted into the World, tightly connected with all the other Selves." Tim has done a solo show in Montclaire, NJ and he is constantly doing group exhibits in Manhattan and Jersey City. His most recent series is a mixed media project called Masks, which Tim did in collaboration with two friend photographers. Tim’s debut as a set designer was with Necessary I.T.E.M.S. Project’s Flight Number Love in 2016. In 2017 Tim was awarded Outstanding Set Design by Planet Connections Theatre Festivity for the play The (Last) Station by Necessary I.T.E.M.S. Project. He was also nominated in 2018 for his set design for Man Frog and Other People. He was commissioned recently to design book cover for a new novel (writer is Robert Arcoleo) as well as children book illustration. In 2019, Tim was also commissioned for his first two murals (in Brooklyn, NY and Bayonne, NJ).
