accurate and punctual translation and teaching services

Hello! I am a native speaker of English, born, raised and formally educated (at Northeastern Illinois University) in Chicago, IL USA. I was raised in a bilingual (Greek and American English) household. I have an excellent grasp of both languages.

I have over 20 years experience teaching English and Greek courses to students of all ages, backgrounds and levels. Courses I teach are to all levels of learners of English as well as Science based courses in Greek to University Students.

Throughout my teaching career, I completed 4 transcriptions for my last language school employer. He was quite pleased with my work. I am able to discern even the rarest of words or utterances enabling me to be accurate with transcribing. I also type 60 - 70 wpm which allows me to complete a transcription in a timely manner.

I have over 20 years of translation and proofreading experience (from Greek to English as well as English to Greek). Documents I translate and proofread are mostly of a highly technical nature and of travel-related material (such as adverts) requiring the use of creative, poetic-like language.

One of my recent translation projects was for Perten Instruments in Sweden. It was a translation of over 30 pages of highly technical nature, which I completed in a week. They were quite pleased with my work. My last translation projects consisted of tourist and travel-related adverts (completed in one-weeks time) for a company located in Greece. They were also quite satisfied with the end results. We are continuing our collaboration during this time. I recently completed a translation from Greek to English, a court transcript of 145 pages in approximately 2 weeks. The client awarded me positive feedback.

I am passionate and conscientious about my work. I pay close attention to detail and take great care to do my work with 100 percent accuracy and in a timely manner.

I am also a mom to a spunky, beautiful, intelligent three-year-old girl!

Work Terms

I am available any time. For teaching, payment is necessary one day before the lesson. For Translations and other projects, payment is necessary within one week following the completion date or project.
