This may seem pretty obvious but I used to have a history of request for "test" or "tryouts" here on Upwork.com. I'm sorry but I'm not interested in those opportunities.
A Brief/Script:
If it's a comic or picture book I'll need (finished) script from you. If it's a character design I'll need a brief. The more that's finished on your end. The easier my job will be. In other words that means no feature creep.
Marketing Use:
I get to use the artwork that I create for you in my portfolio. No hiding the artwork like it's a movie in development, I get to show other clients what great work I've done for you. You on the other hand get quality artwork. It's a win-win.
