Born and educated in the US, I moved to Canada in 2001 and became a citizen in 2007. My first career spanned almost four decades--teaching at the university level and doing field research in Central America, writing three books and several dozen articles in the process. I also edited two books, each with multiple authors, and several dozen articles. In 2004 I closed that chapter and began a new one: lecturing on cruise ships all over the Americas. Out of this grew a passion for photography and travel writing, which I have been able to parlay into several published photo essays, both on line and in print. Three years ago I returned to editing as a freelancer--on Elance and its successor, Upwork--and now have over 100 satisfied clients, many of them repeat customers. I enjoy editing because I learn about new subjects and it puts me in contact with people all over the world--from Australia and Asia to the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America.

Work Terms

Available from 07:00 to 23:00, seven days a week. I will accept a fixed price or hourly assignment.
