Bringing concepts to reality with CAD!
I am a well rounded, versatile structural designer with a wealth of experience in various engineering and product design fields. I am trained on Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor and Siemens NX and have certification in advanced surface modeling through ESTEQ South Africa. I've worked on Solidworks for a large
automotive company specializing in fiberglass manufacturing products.
I have worked from 3D scan data and reverse engineered vehicle body parts with every available surface modeling tool in Solidworks 2013 - 2016. I currently head up my companies structural design department using Creo Parametric 3 as team-leader.
I enjoy CAD design on the whole, preferring static designs for sheet-metal, plastics, fiberglass & metal forging and casting products.I also do work for land surveyors in my local district with jobs that include GIS mapping, General Survey layouts, As-builds and topographical survey diagrams.
My creative hobbies include hand drawing, modeling & rendering using Maya, Autodesk 3DS Max and V-ray. I have a high aptitude for mathematics and physical science which puts me ahead of most design disciplines.
I also work very closely with some talented graphic designers, visual artists and architectural designers
