I have spent the last 20 years working using big data ,specifically using Excel and SAS for data extraction and manipulation. I have worked as a senior data analyst for the South African (i.e. SA) Statistical agency, Large banks in SA as well as credit bureaux. When I analyse data/extract data and create dashboard for visualisation , I ensure that I familiarise myself with the business question to ensure the final view of that data is usable not just once off but built in a way that would make data analysis usable in future .
