Geologist | GIS & Subsurface Data Visualization Specialist

I’m a geologist and environmental professional with over 13 years of experience working across hydrogeology, groundwater studies, and subsurface data visualization. My journey began in academic and government research projects in Kerala, where I worked on groundwater investigations and water management plans for multiple local bodies. Those early years grounded me in field realities and the importance of data-backed decision-making.

I later spent nearly a decade with Arcadis, an international consultancy, where I worked as a Project Consultant specializing in hydrogeology and subsurface data visualization. I led teams, handled complex datasets, and translated technical information into clear, actionable insights for engineers, planners, and decision-makers. This role shaped my approach—structured, detail-oriented, and always focused on practical outcomes rather than just reports.

After stepping away from full-time corporate work, I chose freelancing to work more independently, take on diverse challenges, and collaborate closely with clients. I enjoy projects that involve spatial analysis, GIS (QGIS is my go-to), environmental data interpretation, and clear technical communication. I value honesty, clarity, and delivering work that clients can actually use—not just technically correct, but meaningful.

Outside work, I’m curious by nature. I explore filmmaking, storytelling, amateur radio (HAM), and creative projects that blend science with communication.

Work Terms

Hours of Operation
I generally work Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST. I’m flexible with timings for urgent tasks or international clients, with prior discussion.

Payment Terms
Payments are accepted on a milestone or project basis. For short tasks, full payment is preferred before delivery. For larger projects, I usually work with 30–50% advance and the balance upon completion. All terms are discussed and agreed upon before starting the work.

Preferred Communication Style
Clear and structured communication works best for me. I prefer written communication via platform chat or email to keep requirements and decisions documented. Scheduled calls can be arranged when detailed discussion is needed.

Response Time
I typically respond within 24 hours on working days. For ongoing projects, response time is often much quicker.

Revisions & Feedback
Reasonable revisions are included as long as they are within the original project scope. Clear feedback helps me deliver better results faster.
