Our veteran-owned & operated drone business has the knowledge, experience, and current UAS technology to deliver high-quality aerial imagery, as well as offering professional UAS training to individuals or a team.
Our Background:
Our founders, John Van Horn and Christopher Zarzar, were funded through their Master's Degree and PhD from a NOAA-backed research grant using Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for hydrometeorology. They have a over 5 years of combined experience as part of the FAA UAS ASSURE research team at the nation's UAS Center of Excellence. Chris wrote his PhD dissertation using the data collected from the UAS operations team that John and Chris work on. John did they same with his Master's thesis.
John served 6 years active duty in the Air Force as a Flying Crew Chief on C-5 Galaxy planes. He received the Tillman Scholar from the Pat Tillman Foundation in 2012 and currently serves as the Regional Foundation Captain for Denver area Tillman Scholars.
Our Cause:
John and Chris started this business to train and employ veterans in drone technology while finishing their post-graduate degrees. In addition to adding value to clients needing drone services and training, they are actively involved in developing the non-profit branch that will fulfill their original cause of helping veterans. A portion of all Veteran Unmanned Solutions, LLC proceeds will be donated to this growing non-profit to train and employ veterans in drone technology.
Our Credentials/Certifications:
Just like the majority of drone pilots selling services, we are certified FAA Remote Pilots (drone pilots) and fully insured up to $1 million. We understand that being certified is a cheap way to market yourself as a drone pilot, so we strive to practice and learn drone technology daily to be a more value to our clients and our overall mission.

Work Terms
Payments are due upon completion of the job and before the final product is delivered to the client. Company invoices will be delivered to the client upon the completion of the job. We accept VISA, Mastercard, AMEX, cash, checks, and money orders. We will not accept personal checks or payment plans. Please make all checks and money orders out to Veteran Unmanned Solutions, LLC.
