About

Herder of errant punctuation and grammar correction star.

I've been writing since I can remember and reading at about the same time.

I enjoy both reading and writing, which is a lucky coincidence, as that's part and parcel of proofreading and editing. I have a Certificate IV in Professional Writing and Editing from Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE, a Diploma of Software Development from Coder Academy (7 month bootcamp course) and an Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering from Kangan Institute of TAFE.

As well as these I am in the process of completing two separate Udemy courses. One of which is MERN stack front to back with a practical application project building a social network, and run by Brad Traversy. The other, run by Neil Cummings, which is a course on the .net core ASP.NET framework and Angular building a dating service as the example app.

I enjoy gaming in my spare time and watching television.

As well as these I try to attend live events whenever possible. These include concerts, gaming conventions, meetups and pop culture events, such as Supanova, OzComicCon and others.

Work Terms

I'm normally available for work during the day between 10am and 6pm during the week and don't do weekends, unless I have to. I work in Microsoft Word using the editing tools inside the Review panel and customized rules inside the grammar and spelling check tool. I also use track changes and the comment feature whenever possible to allow clients to see what changes have been made to their documents. I generally only accept .doc, docx or .rtf file formats, but will accept other formats at an increased fee as they will require further reformatting for my review process.
