Your story, elevated.
I’m a creative nonfiction editor and narrative writer who specializes in shaping real experiences into clear, compelling, emotionally resonant stories. I work with memoir excerpts, personal narratives, reflective essays, and life-story writing, helping people express their memories and experiences with more structure, clarity, and impact. My strength lies in understanding voice, emotion, tone, and pacing — the elements that make a personal story feel authentic and meaningful.
I believe that every person has a story worth telling. Sometimes it simply needs refinement, a clearer arc, or a smoother narrative flow. My editing style focuses on preserving your voice while elevating the language, structure, and emotional beats. Whether you want your writing to feel more polished, more powerful, or more cohesive, I shape your draft into its strongest form without losing the essence of who you are as a storyteller.
Clients come to me with all kinds of personal writing: memoir chapters, life experiences they want to document, important moments they hope to express well, or personal statements for academic and professional applications. Some bring polished drafts that need stylistic refinement; others share rough notes or loosely written scenes that require restructuring, tightening, or complete rewriting. In every project, my goal is the same — to bring clarity, depth, and narrative strength to your words.
I pay close attention to emotional tone, narrative consistency, and reader engagement. I look at the rhythm of sentences, the pacing of scenes, the transitions between ideas, and the emotional arc you’re creating. I help you highlight key moments, deepen reflections, and create vivid, memorable storytelling. If needed, I can reorganize sections, rewrite passages, and strengthen characterization and thematic resonance. If your writing feels flat, scattered, or unclear, I can help shape it into a focused narrative with intention and flow.
I’m especially effective with short- to mid-length projects: personal essays, memoir chapters, coming-of-age vignettes, reflective pieces, application narratives, and creative nonfiction. These forms allow me to work closely with voice, emotion, and storytelling detail, bringing out the heart of what you’re trying to say. You simply send me your draft, and I return a refined, stronger version that reads smoothly and captures the meaning you want.
I work in a private, asynchronous, document-based style — no video calls, no pressure, no complicated process. You share your writing, I edit it with care and precision, and you receive a polished final piece. If you have a story to tell and want it to be expressed with clarity, smoothness, and emotional depth, I’d be glad to help bring your narrative to life.
