Production-grade backend systems that scale — Java, Spring Boot & Kubernetes microservices, built and shipped end-to-end, from database to cluster to the app your users touch.
I'm a backend and platform engineer with 3 years of professional experience building production systems that real users depend on every day.
My core work is Java and Spring Boot microservices — designing REST APIs, modeling data in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, wiring in messaging (RabbitMQ) and caching, and securing services with Spring Security. I containerize with Docker and deploy on Kubernetes, with Prometheus/Micrometer monitoring and health checks so problems surface before users feel them. I've built and own several production services, including a recommendation engine, an analytics service, an authentication service, and an order read-replica service.
Recommendation and personalization are a specialty. I've built a production Spring Boot recommendation microservice and segment-aware models in BigQuery — "frequently bought together", next-purchase prediction, and brand/category affinity — and I'm comfortable across the full data path: SQL/BigQuery modeling, Python ETL, and OCR/document-extraction pipelines. On the cloud side I work with Google Cloud (BigQuery, Secret Manager) and AWS.
I also ship end-to-end products beyond the backend. Outside my day job I design and publish my own mobile apps — offline-first React Native / Expo apps on the Play Store — and I build AI automation pipelines using LLMs and text-to-speech. That indie side keeps me close to the whole stack and to what it actually takes to launch something, not just maintain it.
What I care about: clean, documented, tested code; production-grade thinking around monitoring, scaling, and security; and clear, honest communication. I don't disappear, I don't over-promise, and I'd rather tell you the simplest reliable path than the most expensive one.
If you need someone who can take a backend problem from database to Kubernetes cluster to a working product — reliably and with good communication — let's talk. Tell me the outcome you want, and I'll propose how to get there.
Work Terms
Availability: I work primarily in IST (UTC+5:30) with flexible hours to overlap— generally Weekends, and I respond to messages within a few hours during the day.
Payment: I work through Guru SafePay for security on both sides. For fixed-scope projects I break work into clear milestones, with funds placed in SafePay before each milestone begins. Ongoing work is billed hourly or weekly. If we haven't worked together before, a small paid first milestone is a great low-risk way to start.
Communication: I prefer a clear written brief up front so we're aligned on scope, then regular updates via chat or email — plus a quick call whenever it's faster than typing. Comfortable with Slack, Google Meet, Zoom, and your issue tracker of choice.
Revisions & scope: reasonable revisions within the agreed scope are included. If requirements grow, I flag it early and we agree on the change before I proceed — no surprise invoices.
Ownership: all code and deliverables are yours on final payment, delivered via your Git repository with documentation.
