Combining Creative Communication and Influential Ethics Through Words and Wisdom
I am a seriously curious/curiously serious person who prefers the silence of the evening over the hustle of the day. I am open, honest, and kind, and if practical, I would live in my garden.
I approach my work with enthusiasm and tenacity, and I put my work/writing above most things that occupy my time. Late nights and early mornings with a cup of tea, surveying what I have written so far, has become a common occurrence.
Having to choose between my hobbies and interests has always been a struggle for me because I have so many! My main interests are reading and writing, naturally, followed by history and philosophy, language learning (I am currently learning Dutch and German), music, animals (particularly birds), different cultures, art, and travel.
My hobbies are mainly focused on my interests and these include reading and writing, research, making parrot toys, and photography. My other hobbies include gardening, gaming which encompasses computer games, board games, table-top roleplaying games, and anything creative and fun.
My experience includes a personal passion project that I started working on in 2009. This project has opened my eyes to the world of writing and literature and I often research different methods of writing and story-telling to use in my personal and professional writing. I have also submitted entries to the Nine Dots Prize, and I constantly make notes about ideas or lessons in writing that I can go over later and perfect my writing.
I have a degree in Philosophy and International Politics. This degree had a heavy focus on writing and research which has helped my professional writing career because of how I tackle new and sensitive concepts. I plan to do my Honours and Masters in Philosophy in the next few years with a focus on Bioethics and propaganda, which I will use as a window to mediation. I will focus on writing about the importance of knowing the full story when making important decisions and understanding the impact of culture and education in the affected communities.
