Throughout my life, language and writing have been enduring passions, along with music and philosophy. I have always wanted as broad a range of life experiences as I could attain. I traveled widely during and after college, living in North Carolina, Wisconsin, Wyoming, Oregon, Hawaii and more. I have met remarkable people, from the famous to the obscure, most of whom I learned from. I studied political science, psychology, sociology, the arts and literature in college. Earlier in life I fortuitously discovered Buddhism, which has benefitted me profoundly, and has informed all aspects of my life since my late teens. Encountering Quantum Physics later, it was obvious how the two practices complemented one another (as Einstein pointed out), and I developed great respect and enthusiasm for Quantum Physics.
Eventually becoming more "settled", I homesteaded while working in the family business. I got married, built a unique home in a wonderful location, adopted a daughter from Tibet, continued to meet more interesting people, moved around a bit more, then settled here in Southwest Florida where my wife has two grown sons. Having been here with them for some years now, we both look forward to returning to the North Carolina mountains eventually.
I would like to continue trying, in whatever manner I may, to have a positive effect upon people around me, and upon the larger world I live in. You can be sure I will employ writing to do so. I would like to spend the rest of my span living upon a sustainable and self-sufficient farm in the mountains, with a river and forest, quietly following my predilections and enjoying the world about me, with my wife and whatever family should choose to join us. Ideally I would have a small space devoted to my writing. Yes, that would all be quite satisfactory.

Negotiable, flexible. According to the job, I can charge by the project or hourly. I prefer to use SafePay on this site. I also prefer to use written communication, for my benefit and yours, like the Message Board here or email. I will work diligently to accommodate your needs and schedule, delivering your work on time.
