I have more than 14 years of professional experience in web development using PHP/MySQL, Smarty, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS and Bootstrap. At the beginning I have mostly developed websites from scratch using Core PHP and Smarty Template Engine but I have also experience of working with various PHP frameworks. During the last few years I have been working with Java combined with GWT and Vaadin frameworks for developing advanced web applications as well as working with FileMaker platform for development of cross-platform applications and business solutions.
I have worked for 8 years in a small team that developed the leading job board portal in my country (http://www.posao.ba). It was originally developed using just Core PHP and MySQL combined with Smarty and it was later redeveloped using Java and GWT framework. We were also developing many various websites for our company's clients and some other company's projects. Beside of the work in this company I have also developed many websites and web applications as a freelancer.
Beside the work as a web developer, I have also worked as the main System Administrator in the company, maintaining a couple of the servers based on Linux (CentOS), taking care of data security and data backup.
I have took a part in the development of T.O.M., a software for Translation Project Management which has been built using FileMaker but I have also developed a client web portal built in PHP that exchanges information between a desktop software and web interface both ways in real time. During the last few years I have also worked for few clients who used SmartJobBoard platform as the basis for their job board websites.
