Zeyad Albadawy is a passionate Software Engineer and Electronics & Communication Engineering student at Mansoura University (2021–2026). He is also pursuing Software Engineering at ALX Africa. With hands-on experience in backend development, system design, and web security, Zeyad has built and deployed scalable applications, APIs, and real-time systems.
He trained as a Web Penetration Testing Intern at ITI, where he gained practical expertise in networking (CCNA certified) and vulnerability assessment using tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Metasploit. At CatReloaded, he enhanced his problem-solving skills by solving 400+ algorithm challenges, applying SOLID principles, and contributing to cross-functional software projects.
Zeyad has developed several impactful projects, including a YouTube Clone API (Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Sequelize), a Tour Management System (Node.js, MongoDB, Stripe), a real-time Chat App (Kotlin, Firebase), and a Forkify Recipe App (JavaScript, MVC). His work demonstrates strong knowledge in authentication, payments, geospatial queries, role-based access control, and scalable API design.
Technically versatile, Zeyad works across C, C++, Python, Java, Kotlin, PHP, JavaScript/Node.js, and Motoko, with experience in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL/MySQL, and frameworks such as Express.js and Laravel. He is also familiar with cloud deployments, RESTful APIs, and penetration testing practices.
With a strong foundation in algorithms, system design, and security, Zeyad is driven to build efficient, secure, and user-focused software solutions.
