We are a precision agriculture technology company seeking detail-oriented annotators to review and refine plant detections generated by our computer vision models on aerial imagery of agricultural fields.

About the project

Our platform uses drone-based orthomosaics to detect and count individual plants across farm plots. Your role is to validate and correct these automated detections so the final inventories delivered to our clients are accurate and reliable.

What you'll do

  • Review AI-generated detections on georeferenced imagery in CVAT
  • Add annotations for plants the model missed
  • Remove false positives (e.g., weeds, shadows, or irrelevant objects incorrectly flagged as plants)
  • Flag ambiguous cases for internal QA review
  • Follow our annotation guidelines (we provide a brief training doc and examples)

Tools

  • CVAT (Computer Vision Annotation Tool) — prior experience strongly preferred
  • We provide the project setup, classes, and sample tasks

Ideal candidate

  • Proven experience with image annotation tools (CVAT, Labelbox, Roboflow, SuperAnnotate, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency
  • Comfortable working with large, image-heavy projects and a stable internet connection
  • Familiarity with agricultural or geospatial imagery is a plus (not required)
  • English or Spanish communication

Compensation

  • $2.5 USD per hectare effectively reviewed (task-based)
  • Work volume is ongoing — consistent performers can expect long-term collaboration
  • Payment via Guru SafePay

Trial

We start every new annotator with a short paid trial (1–2 hectares) to confirm quality and throughput before scaling up.

To apply, please include:

  1. Your annotation experience and tools used
  2. Estimated throughput (hectares per hour you can reliably handle)
  3. Weekly availability
  4. A screenshot or portfolio sample of prior annotation work, if available
