Architectural, Structural, and MEP Design Services- Multi-Use Building Development 


1. Introduction

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to provide comprehensive design services for a six-story multi-use building to be constructed on a 50 ft × 30 ft plot. The building will serve both agricultural and hospitality purposes, with water tank storage, short-term rental units, and a solar energy system integrated into the design.

2. Project Summary

• Location: On a working farm in East Africa

• Plot Size: 50 ft × 30 ft

• Building Height: Six floors plus a rooftop solar system

• Primary Uses:

  - Water storage (for farm use and retail distribution)

  - Short-term rental units (B&B)

  - Equipment room and reception area

  - Solar energy generation and battery storage

• Vertical Circulation: Elevator shaft from ground floor to sixth floor

3. Scope of Work

A. Architectural Design

A complete set of architectural construction documents, including:

- Floor plans for all levels

- Elevations (north, south, east, and west)

- Building sections and wall sections

- Architectural details and schedules

B. 3D Modeling & BIM Coordination

- High-resolution 3D models encompassing architectural, structural, and MEP systems

- Clash detection and coordination across all disciplines to eliminate design conflicts and ensure constructability

C. MEP Design (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)

Electrical Design:

- Integration of solar and grid power systems

- Electrical layout for lighting, general power, and equipment

- Battery bank and rooftop solar array design


Plumbing and Sanitary Design:

- Borehole-fed water system: ground tank to elevated storage

- Wastewater routing to a biodigester system located at the rear-right corner of the site

- Emergency drainage for each tank floor with a minimum capacity of 60,000 liters


Mechanical Systems:

- Water pumping layout and specifications

- Ventilation plans for enclosed areas

- Equipment room mechanical design
