Job Title: BMI Song Registration + Music Metadata Audit — 110-Song Catalog (Nonprofit Label)
Project Overview
Maukele Records (Aloha Center, Hawaii 501(c)(3) nonprofit) has a 110-song catalog being distributed across LANDR, Too Lost, and Symphonic. We need a one-time bulk BMI registration for all 110 songs and a clean master metadata spreadsheet — then ongoing monthly registration for new releases (2–4 songs/month).
Phase 1 — Bulk Registration (One-Time Project)
• Receive our master spreadsheet: song titles, artist names, ISRC codes, release dates, genres
• Register all 110 songs in BMI Online Services with correct songwriter and publisher splits (100% writer: [songwriter name]; 100% publisher: Maukele Records / Aloha Center)
• Confirm each song’s BMI work ID and add to master spreadsheet
• Deliverable: completed spreadsheet with BMI Work IDs for all 110 songs
Phase 2 — Ongoing (Monthly Retainer)
• Register 2–4 new songs per month as releases go live
• Maintain master spreadsheet
• Flag any registration errors or duplicate ISRC issues
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience with BMI Works Registration portal
• Familiarity with ISRC codes, publishing splits, and PRO registration workflows
• Extreme attention to detail — errors in PRO registration cause permanent royalty loss
• Nonprofit label experience a plus (publisher entity is a 501(c)(3) corporation)
Phase 1 Budget: $100–$250 fixed (110 songs)
Phase 2 Budget: $30–$60/month ongoing
Deadline for Phase 1: Within 3 weeks of project start
