We are Job Hunting U, a growing startup dedicated to helping people land their next great role. We have a dedicated, hardworking team that started as unpaid interns and have been grinding for months to help build our foundation.


The Project:
We are transitioning from building our foundation to generating client revenue, and it is time to get our team paid. We need an expert to help us figure out the financial mechanics of transitioning an unpaid intern team into paid employees or contractors.


We need you to look at our "execution of services" and incoming client money, and help us build a sustainable compensation model. We need to know how to divide the pie fairly without bankrupting the company.


Responsibilities & Deliverables:

  • Analyze our current service delivery model, pricing, and incoming client revenue.
  • Develop a financial model that translates client revenue into sustainable compensation.
  • Advise on the best compensation structures for our team members (e.g., base salaries vs. hourly wages vs. commission/profit-sharing).
  • Provide a clear roadmap/formula for how we scale compensation as revenue grows.
  • Ideal Freelancer:
  • Experience working with early-stage startups on financial modeling and HR compensation strategy.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow regarding payroll.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts in plain English.
