CentroDeportivo covered FIFA Women World Cup™ in France, 2019.

Goal: Launch a successful crowdfunding site to collect funds to publish a sports magazine special issue.

Context: The magazine CentroDeportivo covered the last successful USWNT participation in the FIFA Women's World Cup in France™, 2019. Thrilling games against powerful rivals and ultimately a dream final will be etched in the memories of all who follow the USWNT. Thousands of Americans witnessed history. CentroDeportivo™ covered the final, and other crucial matches.

CentroDeportivo followed Team USA to all the venues it played. Why now? The last FIFA World Cup™ title the USWNT won was in 2019, Lyon, France. The next FIFA™ tournament was played in Australia/New Zealand and was won by Spain. Our plan was to publish a special issue late 2019 or early 2020... Then COVID hit and our plans got shelved indefinitely. As the next FIFA Women World™ Cup will be played in Brazil next year, we think this is a good time to remember the thrilling moments from France 2019 and publish the content we got in 2019.

Who needs to apply: Experience launching successful crowdfunding sites is vital. We want to find a freelancer/company that can help us preparing a compelling narrative through images/videos (we have the needed content) for a crowdfunding site to be chosen (we'll create the account on the selected site using our financial info); we are open to use the crowdfunding suggested by the freelancer we choose, or could be more than one if possible/needed.

The final product: It will be a high quality LIMITED print issue that will be mailed and collected (treasured really) by US soccer-loving fans that follow the USWNT. We are looking to print between 5,000 to 10,000 copies. 20 to 24 full page, glossy, commercial free, high quality content only. 8.5" x 11.0". Stock to use TBD.

*** WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN A CREATING A DIGITAL ISSUE ***

We have plenty of original, proprietary, legal graphic content from that tournament (action shots, team photos, fans). CentroDeportivo was accredited media by FIFA™ that covered the tournament and we followed Team USA to the venues where it played.

Our coverage in FIFA World Cup™  in Brazil 2014 was recognized by USMNT coach Jürgen Klinsmann.

Alternative funding: If there's a single sponsor interested in paying for the project instead of crowdfunding, that is also a viable option; we can print 10,000 or 100,000 copies for a corporate sponsor interested in this project. They can contact us with details. With the FIFA World Cup™ being played in the US this year, this could be a perfect option for corporations interested in gaining brand recognition through soccer.

MEDIA TO BE USED:

We have full editorial rights to all images/videos for use in marketing and crowdfunding. Let's be clear here: WE WILL NOT USE ANY FIFA (or other agencies/publishers) OWNED MATERIALS for the crowdfunding site, marketing or the publication itself, NONE... We will only use our own images... Of which we have plenty.

As far as crowdfunding and marketing, it will be clear that the goal is to raise funds to pay for the publication and nothing else. It will also be clear that we are NOT related in any way to US Soccer, FIFA or CONCACAF; we are an independent media organization publishing a magazine using its own media.

All media used will be our own.

Regarding the images used: We got accredited by FIFA for non-rights holder journalistic coverage (rights holders are those who broadcasted live the games such as TV, radio, etc.). All the material we collected is ours and can be used for EDITORIAL purposes without any issues. Here are some photos that should make it all clear.

Ticket to assign seats to shoot final photos.
