I have a folder (Mac Formatted) I can zip and upload for you to access. It contains a little over 19,103 .jpg files, comprising a little over 27Gb that have been retrieved from a backup.
Each file has a different filename, but many of the images are multiples of different sizes (usually 2 but sometimes 3), and I only want the largest version (ie the highest res) of each image in each case.
I've tried several software products that don't suit, either because
a) they don't adequately identify the largest version of every file or
b) they organise them and give you a list to review, which defeats the purpose - I might as well spend three weeks going through the files in the Finder/File Explorer.
Your deliverable will be twofold;
* a folder or zipped file containing the largest version of each file, with any smaller versions removed
* some sort of evidence/proof that your method has worked as intended – I've tried several products that have promised what I want but which I've later discovered deleted the larger versions of the files in several cases
