Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information in our databases and systems. This position requires a high level of accuracy, strong typing skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter data into databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems
- Verify and cross-check information for errors or inconsistencies
- Maintain and update records and databases
- Organize files and retrieve data as requested
- Prepare and sort documents before data entry
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 40 WPM preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and data entry software
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
