Develop Android App for a restaurant

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Android Developer to join our dynamic team and create an innovative, user-friendly, and efficient mobile app for our restaurant. You will work closely with our product team to build a seamless experience for customers, staff, and management, contributing to the overall growth of the business. This app will facilitate various functions such as online ordering, reservation management, menu updates, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
App Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, test, and maintain an intuitive Android mobile application for the restaurant.
UI/UX Design: Collaborate with design teams to ensure the app is aesthetically pleasing, user-friendly, and reflects the restaurant's brand identity.
Online Ordering & Payments: Integrate features for online ordering, payment processing, and digital receipts.
Reservation System: Develop a seamless reservation and table booking system, with notifications and confirmations.
Menu Management: Enable real-time updates of menus, specials, and promotions.
Push Notifications: Implement features for push notifications about discounts, loyalty programs, or order statuses.
Customer Feedback & Ratings: Create a feedback mechanism to gather reviews and ratings to help improve service.
Location & Navigation: Integrate geolocation services to guide customers to the restaurant or offer delivery.
Analytics & Reports: Integrate analytics to track user behavior, sales data, and other relevant performance metrics.
Collaboration: Work alongside other developers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless app functionality.
Support & Troubleshooting: Monitor the app post-launch for issues and provide quick solutions to problems.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of experience in Android development (Java/Kotlin).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.
Strong knowledge of UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating third-party services (payment gateways, location services).
Experience with databases (SQLite, Firebase).
Familiarity with Google Maps API and geolocation features.
Tools: Git/GitHub, JIRA, Android Emulator, Firebase, and various testing tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Creative problem-solving ability.
Strong attention to detail and a passion for building great user experiences.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with agile development methodologies.
Knowledge of server-side languages like Node.js or PHP for back-end integration.
Familiarity with app deployment and Play Store submission processes.
Understanding of hospitality or restaurant management systems is a plus.
Education:
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
