Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excel Automation & VBA Macro Developer to streamline business processes by developing automated Excel solutions. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Microsoft Excel, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), macro development, data processing, reporting automation, and dashboard creation. This role involves transforming manual workflows into efficient, reliable, and scalable automated solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesExcel Automation

  • Design and develop Excel-based automation solutions to reduce manual work.
  • Create, modify, and maintain VBA macros for business processes.
  • Automate repetitive tasks such as data entry, formatting, calculations, and report generation.
  • Optimize existing workbooks for better performance and efficiency.

VBA Programming

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented VBA code.
  • Develop custom Excel functions and user forms.
  • Handle error management and debugging.
  • Create reusable VBA modules for various business applications.

Data Management

  • Import and export data from multiple sources including CSV, Excel, databases, and APIs.
  • Clean, validate, and transform large datasets.
  • Automate data consolidation from multiple workbooks.
  • Perform advanced data analysis using formulas, PivotTables, and Power Query.

Reporting & Dashboards

  • Develop interactive dashboards and management reports.
  • Automate daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
  • Create dynamic charts, PivotTables, and KPI dashboards.
  • Generate printable and export-ready reports.

Process Improvement

  • Analyze existing workflows and identify automation opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements to reduce processing time and minimize errors.
  • Document automation processes and provide user guides.
  • Train end users on automated Excel tools.

Integration

  • Integrate Excel with Outlook for automated email reporting.
  • Connect Excel with Microsoft Access, SQL Server, SharePoint, or other data sources.
  • Utilize Power Query and Power Pivot where appropriate.
  • Support integration with Microsoft Office applications when needed.

Required Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Strong VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) programming skills.
  • Excel Macro development and troubleshooting.
  • Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • PivotTables, charts, and dashboard creation.
  • Advanced Excel formulas (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, IF, LET, LAMBDA, etc.).
  • Data validation and data cleaning.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple automation projects.

Preferred Skills

  • SQL fundamentals.
  • Microsoft Access.
  • Power BI.
  • Office 365 automation.
  • Knowledge of Python for Excel automation (preferred but not required).
  • Experience working with ERP/CRM exports.
  • Understanding of business reporting and analytics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–5+ years of experience in Excel automation and VBA development (or specify based on your hiring needs).
  • Demonstrated experience creating complex Excel automation solutions.
