Freelance Portrait Retouching Artist

Overview
We are a high-volume children's portrait studio seeking an experienced freelance portrait retouching artist to support our creative projects on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an independent professional who manages their own schedule, tools, and workflow while delivering high-quality, stylized portrait edits.
We specialize in creating imaginative, artistic portraits for families and are looking for a contractor who can consistently produce polished, visually compelling work aligned with our brand style.
Scope of Work
Retouch and enhance portrait images using professional editing software (e.g., Photoshop)
Apply creative effects and artistic enhancements as needed per project guidelines
Deliver completed images within agreed-upon turnaround times
Maintain organized digital files and update project statuses as required
Communicate as needed regarding project specifications, revisions, and deadlines
Preferred Experience
Strong proficiency in Photoshop
Experience with portrait retouching and digital art enhancements
Ability to interpret creative direction and apply it independently
Contractor Expectations
Operates as an independent contractor and provides their own equipment, software, and workspace
Sets their own schedule while meeting agreed-upon deadlines
Manages workload and project timelines independently
Communicates proactively regarding availability and project updates
Additional Information
Work is assigned on a per-project or ongoing contract basis depending on business needs
Compensation structure will be discussed based on scope and volume of work
Contractors may be asked to complete a sample project to ensure alignment with our artistic style
