The Role: Building the User ExperienceAs our Frontend Developer, your exclusive focus is on what the user sees and interacts with. You will be responsible for translating designs and API data into a fast, responsive, and intuitive user interface. You will not be responsible for server-side logic, database management, or CMS administration; your role is to be an expert at building the client-side application that consumes the backend services. You will work in a pair with a dedicated Backend Developer, collaborating daily under the direct guidance of company leadership.

🛠️ Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code using Next.js and React.

  • Consume secure RESTful APIs built by our backend team, managing client-side state effectively.

  • Fetch content from our headless CMS (Strapi) via its API to display on the user interface.

  • Perform component and integration testing to ensure a bug-free user experience.

  • Deploy and maintain the Next.js application using modern CI/CD tools like Vercel or Netlify.

  • Troubleshoot and debug any UI-specific bugs in production environments.

🧩 Required Skills & Experience

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional, full-time experience in a dedicated Frontend Developer role.

  • Stable Work History: We seek long-term team members. Candidates with a pattern of frequent job changes (multiple roles under 12 months) will be automatically disqualified.

  • Industry Comfort: You must be fully comfortable working on products in our key industries, including dating and entertainment.

  • Portfolio Required: A portfolio demonstrating your experience building clean, functional user interfaces is required.

Technical Skillset:

  • Core Architecture & Frameworks:

    • React & Next.js Mastery: Deep knowledge of React Hooks (useContext, useReducer, useCallback, useMemo), Next.js features (SSR, SSG, API Routes), and advanced state management with libraries like Zustand or Redux Toolkit.

    • JavaScript/TypeScript: Advanced proficiency with asynchronous JavaScript and building type-safe applications with TypeScript.

  • UI, UX & Performance:

    • Advanced Styling: Mastery of a utility-first framework like Tailwind CSS.

    • Web Performance: Practical experience optimizing for Core Web Vitals, implementing code-splitting, and lazy loading.

    • Accessibility (a11y): Knowledge of WCAG standards and building accessible applications.

  • API & Data Layer:

    • Advanced API Consumption: Expertise in consuming RESTful APIs and experience with data fetching libraries like SWR or React Query.

    • Testing: Proficiency with component and integration testing using Jest and React Testing Library.

🏆 What You Get
