Motion Design Contractor (Mexico-based)

About the role: We're a US-based creative agency piloting an expanded motion capability. Rather than hiring full-time, we're partnering with an experienced motion designer who can bridge gaps while upskilling our existing team.

What you'll do:
Design and produce 2-4 visual assets for social media, paid ads, digital ads, landing pages, and website needs.
Build reusable templates and style frames our team can leverage
Provide async feedback via Loom on motion files created by our designers (mentorship mindset required)
Collaborate with our design lead (Lichi) on project scoping and delivery timelines

What we're looking for:
3+ years motion design experience, preferably agency-side
Fluent English (written and verbal—you'll be on client calls occasionally)
Portfolio showing: explainer videos, brand animations, social motion graphics
Proficient in After Effects/Premiere + comfortable creating templates/style guides/Lottie
Figma/Adobe Creative Suite fluency, experience with design systems

Bonus: Proven previous experience in the SaaS industry

Commitment:
10-20 hours/month to start (flexible based on pipeline)
Async-first workflow with occasional sync check-ins (US hours compatibility helpful but not required)

Rate: $10-20 USD/hour (negotiable based on experience)
