Hey there — I’m looking for someone to help kickstart my automation journey.
I run a business and want to start building low-code/no-code solutions to automate repetitive tasks. My first focus is on creating a workflow that can scan documents (like personal receipts and ATM configuration printouts), use OCR to extract the data, and then parse that into a structured format in a NocoDB database.
Some things I’m looking to automate:
Scanning & parsing receipts into categorized fields (e.g., date, vendor, total, etc.)
Extracting config data from ATM printouts into searchable database fields
Linking these files with local file paths (stored on my Synology NAS) in NocoDB
Possibly more projects down the road
Ideal skills:
Experience with OCR tools (Tesseract, Nanonets, or similar)
Familiarity with NocoDB or similar open-source/low-code databases
Comfort with setting up file watchers or folder-based automations
Bonus: Python knowledge to extend or customize parts of the workflow
