Programming & Development Programming & Software

Company: Kona Bicycle Company
Budget: ~USD $2,000 (fixed / capped)
Duration: Short-term, project-based
Start: Immediate
Location: Remote

What We Need (Plain English)

We need someone who has already built Power BI reports from Acumatica data.

Not “ERP in general.”
Not “I can learn Acumatica quickly.”
Actual, hands-on Acumatica → Power BI experience.

Project Scope

  • Connect Power BI to Acumatica ERP data (API / OData / SQL)

  • Build a small set of production-ready dashboards

  • Model Acumatica data correctly (sales orders, shipments, customers, inventory)

  • Validate numbers against Acumatica screens

  • Provide brief handoff notes

This is a defined, outcome-based project, not an open-ended engagement.

Required (Must Have)

  • Demonstrated Power BI expertise (data modeling, DAX, performance)

  • Direct Acumatica experience (please describe)

  • Experience working with real ERP data (not samples)

  • Ability to work independently and deliver quickly

If you have not worked directly with Acumatica, this role is not a fit.

Nice to Have

  • Manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution reporting

  • Multi-entity or multi-region ERP experience

Budget & Engagement

  • Fixed budget of approximately $2,000

  • Scope will be sized to fit the budget

  • Remote, async-friendly

  • Potential follow-on work if this goes well

  1. Describe a Power BI project where you used Acumatica as the data source.
(How did you connect? Which modules did you report on?)

  2. Which Acumatica modules have you worked with?
(e.g., Sales Orders, Inventory, GL, Shipments, Customers)

  3. How did you validate Power BI numbers against Acumatica?

  4. Share one challenge you’ve encountered reporting from Acumatica and how you solved it.

Applications that do not clearly answer these will not be considered.

Please include the word “Acumatica” in the first line of your proposal so we know you read the posting.
