We would like to develop a program for a sanding process on an aluminum part, we will provide the drawing for the designated area, the sanding process will be specifically for a highly cosmetic area. The objective is to create a repeatable sanding pattern that ensures a consistent, high-quality surface finish.
Our idea is to adapt the machine to use a small, replaceable dot of sandpaper at the end effector. This sanding dot will make contact with the surface of the part and perform a controlled pattern, either circular or oval over the designated area.
The program should allow for multiple sanding cycles on the same spot, for example, 20, 50, 60, or even up to 100 repetitions, depending on the required finish. By repeating this pattern, the sandpaper will produce a uniform texture and achieve the desired cosmetic result in that critical section of the part.
