Seeking M&A / Business Brokerage Firm to Sell FundMeSmart, LLC — 5% Success Fee, $25K Minimum

About the Opportunity

FundMeSmart, LLC is seeking an experienced M&A advisor, business brokerage firm, SaaS acquisition specialist, or strategic sales organization to actively market and sell our company and technology platform.

This is a serious, high-intent engagement. We are prepared to move quickly with the right firm.

Compensation

We want our selected partner to have a meaningful financial incentive to get a transaction completed:

  • 5% commission on the completed sale

  • Minimum commission of $25,000 at closing

  • $500 startup stipend to the firm selected to represent us

  • Potential additional opportunities involving the sale or licensing of individual products and assets

We are also prepared to consider a very attractive lease-to-own structure for the right buyer, creating another path to completing a transaction.

What We Have Built

FundMeSmart is a scalable fundraising and savings technology platform designed to serve:

  • Individuals needing to raise funds

  • Public and private schools

  • Athletic programs and organizations

  • Nonprofits and charitable organizations

  • Community organizations

  • Associations

  • Military and veteran-related organizations

  • Healthcare and other cause-based fundraising initiatives

Our technology combines fundraising with valuable consumer savings and provides organizations with additional ways to generate ongoing revenue.

We have developed multiple products, brands, and applications within the overall platform. This is important because we do not necessarily have to sell everything to one buyer.

Individual products, verticals, technology, brands, licensing rights, or other assets may potentially be separated and sold or licensed individually.

Multiple Paths to a Transaction

We are open to creative deal structures, including:

1. Full Company Acquisition
Sale of FundMeSmart, LLC and its associated technology, intellectual property, brands, platforms, and business assets.

2. Lease-to-Own
A qualified buyer or operator could potentially assume control through an attractive lease-to-own arrangement, reducing the amount of capital required upfront.

3. Sale of Individual Platforms or Assets
Certain products, verticals, brands, or technology components may be separated and sold individually.

4. Strategic Investment or Partial Acquisition
We are willing to consider a significant investment, strategic partnership, or partial acquisition if the structure accomplishes our objectives.

Why We Are Selling

The company has reached a point where it needs an organization with the resources, leadership, sales infrastructure, and capital to take the platform to its next level.

As the owner, I am also dealing with significant health concerns. Rather than allow a valuable platform and years of development to lose momentum, I want to place it with an organization capable of realizing its potential while protecting the customers, technology, and people behind it.

We are motivated to complete a transaction, but we are looking for a professional process and a qualified buyer—not simply the fastest offer.

What We Need From You

The selected firm or professional should be capable of:

  • Quickly understanding our company, technology, revenue opportunities, and intellectual property

  • Helping establish a realistic market valuation

  • Determining which assets should be marketed together or separately

  • Developing a compelling acquisition narrative

  • Preparing or improving our executive summary, pitch materials, and buyer presentation

  • Identifying strategic acquirers, investors, private equity groups, software companies, and other qualified buyers

  • Conducting direct, proactive outreach to potential buyers

  • Pre-qualifying interested parties

  • Managing confidentiality and the flow of information

  • Coordinating due diligence

  • Assisting with deal structure and negotiations

  • Keeping the transaction moving toward a defined closing date

Who We Are Looking For

Our preference is for a firm or individual with 5+ years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:

  • Mergers and acquisitions

  • Business brokerage

  • SaaS/software company sales

  • Investment banking

  • Corporate development

  • Strategic investments

  • Fundraising or nonprofit technology

  • Digital marketplaces, loyalty, coupon, travel, or savings technology

An existing network of software buyers, strategic acquirers, private equity firms, family offices, or technology investors would be particularly valuable.

Important: We Want Active Representation

We are not looking for someone whose strategy is simply to place FundMeSmart on several business-for-sale websites and wait for a buyer.

We want a partner who will actively identify organizations that could benefit strategically from acquiring our technology and personally pursue those opportunities.

The successful candidate should be comfortable picking up the phone, making introductions, presenting the opportunity, following up with decision-makers, and helping us drive the transaction through closing.

How to Apply

Please provide:

  1. A brief company profile or professional biography.

  2. Your experience selling SaaS, technology, or privately held companies.

  3. Examples of acquisitions, exits, investments, or strategic transactions you have helped close.

  4. Your proposed strategy for identifying buyers for FundMeSmart.

  5. Any existing buyer or investor network that could be relevant.

  6. Your estimated timeline for launching a sale process.

  7. Who would personally manage our engagement.

  8. Your availability for an initial Zoom meeting.

Please do not send a generic proposal. We are particularly interested in hearing how you would approach selling FundMeSmart and what types of buyers you believe should be targeted.

Compensation Summary

5% success commission — minimum $25,000 at closing — plus a $500 startup stipend for the firm we select.

For the right M&A professional or business sales organization, this is an opportunity to represent a motivated seller with a developed technology platform, multiple potential acquisition structures, and several assets that may be monetized either together or independently.

Our objective is simple: find the right buyer, structure a fair transaction, and get a deal closed.
