Software Developer (Generalist)

We’re seeking a contract software engineer to contribute across multiple areas, including mobile app development, backend services, and infrastructure. You’ll work closely with the founder to build and improve features, optimize performance, and maintain a seamless user experience on iOS/Android built in Expo.

This role is remote and contract-based, ideal for an engineer who enjoys working independently and delivering high-quality, scalable solutions across the stack.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain features for our mobile app
Build and support backend services leveraging platforms like Firebase and Supabase
Integrate APIs and third-party services to enhance functionality
Debug and resolve issues across mobile, backend, and infrastructure layers
Utilize AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex to accelerate development
Assist with app releases, updates, and deployment processes

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of professional software development experience
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
Experience with React Native or other cross-platform mobile frameworks
Familiarity with backend services such as Firebase, Supabase, or equivalent
Familiarity with design tools like Figma
Experience with serverless infrastructure like Cloudflare Workers and other Cloudflare products
Experience shipping production software across mobile and/or web platforms
Comfortable debugging complex issues across multiple layers of the stack
Experience working independently in a remote environment
Proficient with Git and version control workflows
Proficient written and verbal English communication.
