I was summoned by the court for a court date about owing a company 25K. I need some help with this. Must be a Florida lawyer. It's in Palm Beach County. The court date is exactly the day I am moving to another state. I need someone to respond to the court that I cannot make the court date and I need an extension also I would like at discovery phase even understand if the company that summoned me is legitimate. It's been five years since I've owed. They have not shown any proof of contract or any other information in regard to what is owed.
