Skip Tracing Specialist – Discovery

We are seeking an experienced Skip Tracing Specialist to conduct advanced, compliant contact discovery. This role involves locating and verifying accurate contact information for individuals and their direct or extended relatives, including phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses, using approved tools and databases. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of legal and privacy guidelines (such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Gramm–Leach–Bliley Act, and applicable state regulations) and be able to compile actionable reports for our internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform professional skip tracing using legal, licensed databases and investigative tools.
Locate and verify accurate contact information for individuals and relevant family members where permitted by law.
Cross-reference and validate data across multiple sources to ensure reliability.
Maintain meticulous records of findings in accordance with internal compliance standards.
Collaborate with collections, legal, or investigative teams to ensure timely and lawful delivery of results.
Remain up-to-date with evolving privacy, compliance, and data protection laws.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in skip tracing, investigative research, or related field.
Strong knowledge of federal and state compliance requirements for data gathering.
Proficiency with skip tracing platforms (e.g., TLOxp, Accurint, CLEAR, Tracers) and open-source intelligence (OSINT) methods.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
High attention to detail and discretion with sensitive information.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred:
Experience in collections, legal investigations, fraud prevention, or background checks.
Certification in skip tracing, fraud investigation, or related specialty.
