This includes advising on optimal contract type selection (e.g., FFP, T&M) and pricing methods.

  • FAR Compliance: Providing expert interpretation and practical application of FAR and agency-specific supplements (e.g., DFARS) to ensure all company proposals, contracts, and internal procedures are fully compliant.

  • Negotiation Support: Reviewing, analyzing, and actively participating in the negotiation of contract terms and conditions, modifications, and task orders with government representatives.

  • Risk Mitigation: Identifying and assessing potential contractual and regulatory risks (e.g., data rights, intellectual property, termination clauses), and developing robust strategies to mitigate them throughout the contract lifecycle.

  • Contract Lifecycle Management: Assisting with all phases of the contract lifecycle, from proposal submission/review to contract close-out.

  • Training & Guidance: Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) to internal business development and program teams, providing guidance on complex contract requirements and implications.

Required Qualifications

  • FAR Expertise: Exceptional mastery of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and its various parts and clauses is non-negotiable.

  • Contract Types: Demonstrated experience with a variety of contract types (e.g., FFP, T&M, Cost-Reimbursement).

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex contractual language into actionable business guidance.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field (relevant experience may substitute).
