I have been part of several professional grade Android applications such as Multimedia Slide Viewer and My Youtube Viewer which have been published on Google play store. Below are some examples of my android app development experience:- 1. Android Home Application:-Custom home applications were developed for a TV-connected Net-top device starting from ADW launcher open source Android application. Each home application supported some of the standard features such as multiple home screens, configurable shortcuts for native applications and addition of widgets etc. Additionally, each software was customized for various products being offered by Ariem Technologies [where I have worked in the past] including Razorbee Internet Set-top box, the flagship Razorbee Teacher's Aid device and Razorbee TV Banking device. 2.Web Channels:- The concept of a web channel is similar to TV channels. They are created from web content relevant to the user. The project consisted of creating web channels out of internet feeds such as News feeds, Facebook data streams, Twitter data streams and various other video and audio feeds. The end product enables the user to watch a slide show of the above data sources on TV giving a feeling similar to browsing through a magazine on TV, flipping/scrolling screen after screen. One screen may show news headlines, another may show the recent activities of their friends on twitter and Facebook. Google reader integration has also been added. The content adds a lot of value when text is combined with images and videos which are an integral part of most of the above mentioned web content. My Role for Web channels:- I was responsible to handle the development of the full application which included development of RSS parsers, modules to retrieve content from facebook, twitter and google reader using respective APIs and SDKs.
