After graduating at the top of my class with the Academic Award for Architecture Design Excellence from the University of Toronto, I have spent the last few years developing my skills as an architectural designer both within Canada and abroad. Through my professional work experiences, I have deepened my understanding of architectural practices, standards, and the Ontario Building Code. I have developed my drafting skills, producing professional, high-quality architectural drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and detail drawings. As well, with a thorough approach, I can produce renders to the highest level, as I understand what is required to produce a beautiful image in order to convey an idea to a client. Furthermore, in my experience working as a Project Designer at Building Trust International in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I conceptualized, developed, prepared, and oversaw the construction of a large-scale multi-use project, designed the renovation of a converted-factory bar, and liaised with clients to design their villa's interior. Not only am I capable of drafting at the level required for professional projects, but I enjoy the development and execution of projects of various scales and programs. My top skills include a creative approach to problem solving and design development, with a focus on sustainability/adaptability, materiality, and aesthetic cohesion. My interests lie especially with the future of sustainable architecture and urban design, emphasized by my involvement in natural-building/bamboo architecture workshops and my volunteering on self-sustaining permaculture farms.
