Since March 22, 39 people have been killed in Israel and the occupied West Bank in violent incidents between Israeli authorities and Palestinian citizens , which began with a wave of attacks and continued with a series of raids and clashes, before ending this Friday in serious incidents on the Esplanade of the Mosques in Jerusalem.

On March 22, four Israeli civilians were killed in a knife attack and hit-and-run attack in the southern city of Beer Sheva. The attacker was an Israeli of Bedouin origin and was killed by a civilian. The attack was later claimed by the Islamic State.

On March 27, two Israeli policemen were killed in a gun attack in the northern city of Hadera. The attackers were Palestinians with Israeli citizenship and were killed by security forces . The attack was later claimed by the Islamic State and coincided with the beginning of a summit in the south of the country, which was attended by the heads of diplomacy from the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt and the United States.

On March 29, five people were killed in a gun attack in the ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak in central Israel. The victims were two Ukrainian foreign workers, two Israeli civilians and a policeman. The attacker, a Palestinian from a village in the north of the West Bank, was killed by police. The attack received unusual condemnation from the president of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Mahmoud Abbas .

On March 30, after experiencing one of the most violent weeks since the Second Intifada, the Israeli security forces intensified their operations both inside their territory against people linked to the Islamic State and in the occupied West Bank. More than a thousand additional troops were deployed and Prime Minister Naftali Benet urged the population to bear arms.

On March 31, two Palestinians were killed during armed clashes with Israeli troops during an army raid on the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank . Near Bethlehem, a Palestinian stabbed and seriously injured an Israeli - who eventually survived - before being killed.

On April 1, a Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli security forces during clashes in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron. According to the Army, the troops shot him after throwing a Molotov cocktail at them during a protest.

On April 2, three Palestinian militants belonging to the Islamic Jihad group were killed during an arrest operation by Israeli security forces near the occupied West Bank city of Jenin. During the incident, four Israeli policemen were injured, one of them seriously.

On April 3, at least 10 Palestinians were arrested and 20 wounded during clashes with Israeli police at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City, marking the second consecutive night of incidents at the site as part of the the celebrations of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
