Microsoft's new AI-powered Bing could be the end of traditional search engines.  Last Tuesday, Microsoft launched the Bing search tool with a new update, as the search is now based on the ChatGPT artificial intelligence tool from OpenAI, changing the concept of online search.

We had a chance to try out the new Bing at the Microsoft offices in Redmond, where we asked the software to answer a variety of questions.  Here's a summary of our experience.Bing takes the search experience even further by aggregating the many results from an ordinary search engine and reproducing them in an easy-to-understand format.

For example: if you want to create a foreign city itinerary or meal plan to lose weight, you usually use a search engine to display related articles, and then read the articles to find the itinerary or meal plan.  But with the new Bing search tool, it reads all relevant articles for you and then produces an easy-to-read bullet point article in seconds, all the while showing you the sources of those lines and where Bing got this information from.

You can apply the same possibility to a long news article crammed with information and words.  The new Bing can divide content into several main points.  Just ask for the article summary.  In addition, it suggests answers to questions you usually ask after your previous question, such as "How can I make a restaurant reservation?"  or "How much does a laptop cost?"  Which makes it easy to extract more information from Bing.

The answers that Bing, powered by artificial intelligence, can give are essentially cutting off sites and links.  No need to navigate between sites and search for what you want.  The new Bing is designed to be smart enough to analyze information for you.  This could include finding a good Indian restaurant in an area, the best laptop under $500, or whether you should invest in Tesla stock.

The new Bing will try to make suggestions after each answer, citing different sources at the bottom of the answer through a list of web links.  As a result, you get more transparency about how the AI came to the answer, unlike ChatGPT, which doesn't cite sources in its responses.
