1.  Service Scope & Types of Illustrations


Common Coloring Book Styles:

  • Line Art (Black & White) – Clean, bold outlines suitable for coloring.

  • Realistic Scenes – Nature, animals, landscapes, or urban settings.

  • Cartoon/Character-Based – Friendly, bold designs for kids or themed characters.


 Illustration Types:

  • Single Page Scenes – One full-page illustration per sheet.

  • Double Page Spreads – Two connected illustrations across both pages.

  • Spot Art – Small decorative elements (used in journals or themed workbooks).

  • Activity Pages – Mazes, connect-the-dots, color-by-number.


2. Deliverables

  • High-Resolution Line Art

    • Usually in 300 DPI (print-quality).

    • File formats: PDF, PNG, TIFF, PSD, AI (vector if required).

  • Layered Files (Optional) – PSD or AI files with editable line work.

  • Print-Ready Files – Sized according to standard trim sizes (e.g., 8.5x11", A4).

  • Cover Illustration – Optional add-on service (can include front and back cover).

  • Bonus Content – Stickers, bookmarks, posters, or additional assets.


3. Workflow Process

  1. Client Brief & Theme Selection

    • Style, age group (kids/adults), themes (e.g., animals, fantasy, affirmations).

  2. Rough Sketches / Thumbnails

    • Presented for client approval before inking.

  3. Final Line Art

    • Clean, high-resolution, ready for print or digital distribution.

  4. Revisions

    • Usually 1–2 rounds of minor changes.

  5. Final Delivery

    • Packaged files, organized and named by page number or theme.
