Comic Book Script Writing

$10/hr Starting at $25

Writing stories is probably my number one passion when it comes to making comics. I normally start by writing down some thoughts and ideas that first come to mind when I start a new story. This includes characters, story themes, and locations mostly. Anything to get the ball rolling. However if a client has any of these ideas in mind before hand I take any information they have and I just build upon that until I am satisfied with the world and characters I have created. After the initial brainstorming phase, I begin writing some sample drafts of the story until I come up with a good overall idea on how the story will flow. Then After I made a final draft of the overall story I begin sketching out panel thumbnails for the script writing. Sketching out thumbnails helps me determined how many panels I can fit per page and how each scene and character in each panel will look. After the thumbnails are done I work on the script. I usually have some dialogue already written at this point, more of the important dialogue anyway that helps progress the story. Then after I edit my work to make sure the pages looks good for the client.
