My love of technology runs deep. One of my oldest memories is of playing the game "Treasure Mountain" which I fell in love with. It wasn't until much later that I realized the trick my parents had played on me by getting me addicted to a game that taught math and logic skills.
I've been crafting code and building websites since high school so when I was accepted to the University of Michigan's College of Engineering, I knew Computer Science was the program for me. Since graduating, I've worked at a number of different companies. At each stop along my career path came new technical challenges forcing me to learn new programming languages and techniques, along with handling the additional responsibilities of becoming a manager. My career started out as a Junior Engineer and has progressed to the point where most recently I was the Vice President of Engineering at a startup before deciding to step away from the standard corporate career ladder. Once I made that pivot, I began doing consulting work while also attempting to get my own startup off the group (check it out at bachpartymatch.com!). I'm looking to continue with contract work until the startup is at a more stable place. I've helped clients create requirement and specification documents, re-assess project schedules, and develop major features for their code bases.
