Content Moderation and Customer Service

$10/hr Starting at $500

Back in my academic year, I had lots of friends (boys and girls) who came up to me requesting for advice about the problems they had (most are young adult's problems). Why they did so? Because, they find in me a genuine friend, someone they trust, and someone who can find a solution for them.

Fast-forward, I was working as a Camp Counselor at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp, and yet again here I am helping campers to have fun during their summer break.

Then, entering the adulthood where you have to wake up and make money to raise your kids, pay your bills ; I decided that since I have this quality, this empathy, this good listening skill, and this ability to solve problems, why shouldn't I use these qualities to help others and do more for the world?

My first job was indeed about making a difference in the world, because I was working as a content moderator for a French company, and I was helping their clients to make their website safer for both users and the brand itself.

In 2016, I joined ModSquad, where I expanded my expertise to include Customer Support, and perfect my Content Moderation skills in parallel. And yet again, here I am helping customers, users to solve their issue, whether it is billing, game related, order issues, I am there giving my best. Working as a customer support might be challenging but when there are difficult cases, you take a step back, analyze the case in different angles, then you head back in again with fresh ideas and solution.

Now back to the question: Why do I think we might be a great fit for each other?

Well, I am a problem solver, a good listener, I never back down to overcome new challenges. I am a quick learner and have the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

With my extensive work experience, I can bring value to the company and I always have in mind its exponential growth. The goal of the company is my goal as well. What value you may ask: the ability to understand others, the client, the user, and the team. If you understand someone's issue, you can have the ability to think what might be the solution. Since I was trained to do exactly that through my work experience, I can say that I have perfected that skill.

Reading through the job description, I can see that you care also about people. Even looking at this application form, you can feel that you crafted it to make the applicants feel good. That is what I am looking for, a company with good culture which cares about their employee.

Also, I am looking for a place where I can work remotely, since I am a family man.

We are a good fit for each other because we both fulfill what we are looking for in each other.

I am confident that my extensive experience and passion for customer support, and content moderation make me an excellent fit for the position, and I look forward to the possibility of discussing my application further in an interview.
